It's been well over a year since I made this handmade doll for my beautiful niece's birthday but I thought I'd share again since I've been getting an itch to create more lately for my own little one.

Though I never gave her a proper name to start I felt the need to do so now (and possibly a little backstory when I present her to baby girl...but I have a little time before then). And I feel like she'd be an Abigail. A sweet girl who loves flower crowns and playing dress up!

 Of course, it wouldn't be fair to not let her model for you, right?

And a bonus of her favorite flower crown!

Since it's high time I posted something new here...I thought I'd introduce you to the newest love of my life!

Seriously, how could I not love this little girl?? It doesn't feel like it was that long ago I was holding this tiny little thing and wondering how in the world I was going to be a mom. Five months later and it feels like the most natural thing in the world and that little thing is now rolling and sitting and singing along with mommy and I couldn't be more proud!

Found this poem (that I found somewhere online a long time ago) hidden in an old notebook and I wanted to post it here because 1) it makes me happy and 2) so I can look back on it later.

Got to shoot this wonderful wedding back in May. Why am I posting it on my personal blog? Because it makes me happy!

Have you ever known a couple that just by seeing them together you know they're perfect for each other? These two are the most amazing people you will ever meet. They're beyond sweet and laid-back and the type of people that you can't help but love to pieces.

I'm so glad that I met them and was able to get a glimpse into their lives. It wasn't until I met them that I knew what true kindness and friendliness was and it made me look inside myself and realize that I want to be like that. I want to make people feel like they're one of a kind and I want to put on a genuine smile everyday throughout the good and bad.

And that, folks, is how you know someone is "good people": when they make you look inward and think about your lives on a deeper level.

So thank you, Heather and Michael for being good people and I wish nothing but the best for you both!

New hair!

It's been so long since I've gotten my hair cut/colored...I feel like a brand new woman! I've been trying to grow my hair out long for a while now and I've gotten it to a place where I can finally braid it to the side (a goal of mine since I was about 13) but my old cut had grown out and color faded so I decided to do just a little touch up :) I feel like Ariel!
